Leslie is the managing partner at the Rubio Law Firm. Leslie attended the University of Montevallo, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, Leslie worked as a paralegal in the Birmingham area, while simultaneously attending the Birmingham School of Law, to earn her Juris Doctor. During her time at BSL, Leslie was a member of the Mock Trial team, as well as the Sigma Delta Kappa Honor Society.
Leslie’s area of concentration is civil litigation, specializing in serious injury, wrongful death, and dram shop claims. Leslie’s experience in civil litigation, as both a paralegal and an attorney, allows her to fight for equal access to justice for the immigrant population of Alabama. Leslie is also licensed to practice in all Federal and State Courts of the northern district in the state of Alabama. Leslie is a proud member of the Alabama Bar Association as well as the Birmingham Bar Association. She has served as a member of numerous committees, and most notably as the chair of the Solo/Small Firm Section. Leslie is a member of the Alabama Association For Justice and serves on the Legislative Committee and is a member of the Women’s Caucus, and Emerging Leaders Section. Leslie is a member of the American Association for Justice and was selected to participate in the 2014 Leadership Forum.
Leslie is a dedicated runner who participates in races throughout the year. She also has an interest in the culinary arts and enjoys creating and sharing new dishes with friends and family. Leslie somehow finds time to travel and loves immersing herself in the rich culture of her travel destinations.
